My client, a busy regional based civil engineering contractor are currently recruiting a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This business has a strong track record within the delivery of infrastructure projects. The business has a turnover of £60m and there is a great culture and a chance to forge a successful career with a market leader in Civil Engineering.
Working within the commercial team you will support the commercial manager by providing assistance in the following;
Administrating our contracts and issuing the correct contractual notices
Producing integrated cost forecasts for projects
Managing commercial issues related to withheld, disputed or disallowed costs
Assisting with resolution of disputes and learning negotiation strategies
Assisting with subcontract preparation following procurement
Assessing interim and final accounts
