Job Description: Project Engineer – Reinforced Concrete Frames & Groundworks
Initial Projects – West London or South East London
£280 – £320 per day – Depending on experience
The Opportunity:
As the Project Engineer, you will be expected to support the project manager with a variety of tasks including the basics of quality control, temporary works, health & safety and supervising the engineering team. With this we are also looking for candidates who can take the lead, overseeing individual RC frame packages while reporting to the onsite PM. This role offers the possibility to progress to Project Management within a short period of time (1 year) if candidates can show the drive, organisation and technical ability.
The Company:
Our client is a leading name in the Groundwork and RC frame sector in and around London. They have a strong flow of work and a reputation that sets them aside from a large amount of their competition. With an annual turnover of over £140m per annum, their primary work area is London and the Home Counties and usual package values range from £5 million up to £50 million each.
The Requirements:
Candidates must be degree qualified in civil engineering and must have a strong, stable career in the RC frame and groundwork subcontract sector of construction. Postgraduate experience needs to be a minimum of 3-5 years and ideally, candidates will be coming up to the level of project management or at least a Project Engineer already on smaller schemes. The initial projects are based in West London and South East London and both are valued at around £15m each including slip-form cores and multi-story reinforced concrete frames (plus associated groundwork). Because of this and future workload, candidates should be based in or around London / South East.
The Offer:
For either of these opportunities, I am targeting candidates looking to earn anywhere from £280 to £320 per day plus benefits.
