The role of the Financial Controller is to maintain all financial systems, identify areas that require improvement and implement necessary changes to support business development. You will also manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports. As a financial controller, you will provide support so the client can make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives. You will take command of the finance team with a hands-on approach and ensure all financial reports are properly prepared and all accounts are documented correctly.
Key Duties:
* Preparing monthly/quarterly and annual reports and present to the board
* Manage the Purchase Order and Purchase Invoice process.
* Manage the sales process.
* Full overview reviews cost savings etc.
* Monthly/Quarterly and budget reviews with fresh forecasts updated.
* Day-to-day cash flow management, paying bills once process approved.
* Regular review of business costs to highlight areas where savings could be made.
* Payroll Management
* Cash Flow Forecasting
* VAT returns, national statistics and other compliance reports
* Producing audit-ready files for auditors and working papers with clean audits.
* Manage and mentor staff & provide any training/support
Essential Skills
* A person who can operate hands-on with daily tasks and strategic finance support
* Excellent Communication Skills
* Someone comfortable working with staff and Business Partners.
* Someone with post-qualifying experience, ideally ACCA finalist or fully qualified or qualified by experience.
* Advance Excel skills
* Ideally, experience in a manufacturing / retail environment

Salary Negotiable (Depending on Experience)
Salary: £30000 – £40000/annum
