Job Description: BIM Coordinator | Manchester | Architecture
Title: BIM Coordinator
Position reports to: BIM Manager and Head of BIM
Based at: Manchester
Summary: The BIM coordination of projects within allocated sector, for the purposes of streamlining workflow, avoiding BIM pitfalls, reducing time-loss, enhancing communication and model sharing with design teams and outsourcing bodies. Core responsibilities include the setting up of Revit models, managing outputs, performing BIM coordination exercises, and communicating with the project design teams/consultants to ensure the BIM output follows the BIM Execution Plan.
Minimum qualification requirements:
1. Advanced technical skills in operating on Revit and Navisworks
2. Familiar with Microsoft products, especially MS Office pack
3. Knowledge in Dynamo, API, Python Script, Power BI (would be an advantage)
4. Experience in CDE and BCF platforms (would be an advantage)
5. Architectural background, education and experience
6. Interest in BIM methodology
7. Education in BIM Management or similar (would be an advantage)
8. Communication, organisation, and personal skills to lead one on one and group training
The Role:
* Set up BIM Project Start meetings with teams and BIM Manager
* Set up Post stage completion BIM meetings with teams and BIM Manager
* Troubleshooting and guidance in executing project deliverables
* Training upon request
* Audit projects to ensure best practice
* Establish weekly meetings with project teams to strategize project deliverables
* Content creation of parametrically complicated content
* Set up new project files and linked file hierarchies including survey files, building models and shared coordinates
* Write, update, maintain and ensure compliance of project BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
* Coordinate and or set up clash detect models with external teams in conjunction with project deliverables (Clash detection on larger teams could be done by Model Leaders and have to be established in BIM Project Start meetings.)
* Prepare and schedule continues training for project specific teams
* Provide one-to-one and project team mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows as required in partnership with the Head of BIM and BIM Manager
* Management and maintenance of clients Revit standards and templates for each project to ensure that the project is comprehensively documented for construction
Salary: £32000 – £38000/annum
